Vialli and Mauro Golf Cup: sharing and solidarity
The fifteenth edition of the Vialli and Mauro Foundation Golf Cup will be held on Monday May 28th in the same beautiful location as last year, at the Villa Carolina Golf Club. Nestled among the lush hills of Monferrato in the province of Alessandria, the green is home to two 18-hole courses, created on the grounds surrounding the historic residence.
Gianluca Vialli and Massimo Mauro, the two great champions who brought the non-profit organization to life, are rightly proud of the results they have achieved so far. Year after year they have seen the success of their event grow, collecting donations totaling more than 3,500.000 euros so far. The money is used for scientific medical research to combat Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), giving meaningful assistance to researchers looking for new therapeutic approaches to mitigate this disabling illness. All contributors are part of this mission in the name of solidarity and love for life.
Among the internationally famous athletes you will find at this event, Rafa Cabrera Bello is one who stands out, a great Spanish champion who among other things was responsible for updating the rules of the race with an 18-hole shotgun. Team captains are European Tour Pro Golfers who swing and stroll side by side with well-known sportsmen and celebrities.
Cristina Follador, Sales and Marketing Director of the Company, is happy to be part of this charitable event: “For years we have been supporting this Foundation, whose values and spirit of solidarity we share. It is very important to support initiatives aimed at the progress of research. A toast to great values to be shared; solidarity, conviviality and a smile.”
Follador has been present at this event for several years as the Official Prosecco Supplier, and we’ll be present at the 75th Italian Open beginning a few days later. Golfing is always a stimulating and cosmopolitan event, both in great competitive occasions and when it is aimed at raising funds for charitable causes.
