Follador, the Prosecco Influenced by the Femenine

According to data from a report by the Unioncamere Observatory, the number of women entrepreneurs in Italy  is constantly increasing. There are more than 1.3 million businesses run by women, almost 22% of businesses in the country.  This is an increase of 30% in just the last 3 years.
As for the wine sector, the presence of women is even greater with 30% of companies in this sector run by women. Winemakers, vineyard managers, sommeliers, marketing and communication experts offer their professional contribution to enhance our great winemaking tradition.
Also according to these studies, 59% of women entrepreneurs lead family companies, expressing their talent and creativity, bringing innovation and succeeding in the difficult task of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. This report perfectly describes the state of the Follador Company, given that the new generation is entirely dedicated to the family business, where everyone plays a role consistent with their character and their passions.
The eldest son Michele, the only male among the siblings, is responsible for the vinification, internal production and supervises the vineyards the family owns. From there everything else is overseen by female family members. Emanuela deals with administration, purchasing management and logistics; Francesca has put to good use her studies at the renowned “G.B. Cerletti “of Conegliano and deals with analysis and creation of wines; Cristina has an innate predisposition to public relations and plays the role of Sales & Marketing Director.
Obviously, in this all-female article we can not forget to mention Italia Libera Rita, wife of Gianfranco Follador and CEO of the Company, whose strong and reassuring presence is still the main guarantee of continuity of a great tradition.
